Q. What dishes are in your recipe repertoire?
A. Liquorice parfait, prawn ravioli and tempura quail.

Q. Friends unexpectedly drop by and you ask them to stay for dinner. What do you cook?
A. Barbecue with prawns, salmon, lamb cutlets complemented by a great red wine.

Q. What's your favourite Friday night meal, and where will you eat it — home or out?
A. A good home-cooked meal matched with a DVD.

Q. For a romantic night in or out, what's on the menu?
A. Champagne, poached salmon with ginger and mashed potatoes.

Q. What's your secret indulgence food?
A. Ice-cream.

Q. What food couldn't you live without?
A. Leek and ginger are staples in my cooking.

Q. Do you think food and wine matching is overrated?
A. No, I think it is extremely important to match food with wines as it changes the flavours of certain foods combinations.

Q. What's your favourite aisle at the supermarket?
A. Vegetable aisle of course, you can't beat the fresh ingredients.

Q. If you could have five foods on a desert island, what would they be?
A. Ginger, leeks, salmon, steak and chocolate.

Q. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A. Steak, chips and bearnaise sauce.

Q. Have you ever eaten with anyone famous?
A. Richard Branson and Bill Clinton.

Q. What sort of food do you eat when you're stressed with deadline?
A. Anything sweet.

Q. Have you ever put on a dud dinner party?
A. Yes, I have. It involved me unfortunately over cooking my strawberry soufflé.

Q. What's the most memorable meal you've had overseas? A. El'Bulli in Spain for my 30th birthday.

Q. What food would you happily never eat again?
A. Spicy food as I can't handle the heat.

Q. What's one ingredient you always have in your pantry?
A. It seems like I can't live without olive oil and sea salt.

Q. If you could invite three famous people to a dinner party, who would they be?
A. Bill Clinton, JFK and Robert DeNiro.
