Getting a grilling from Food this week is the TODAY show's very own weather man, Stevie Jacobs. He reveals his love of mangoes, French food and nights out on the town with fellow TODAY show host, Karl Stefanovic.

1. What's your favourite Friday night meal and where will you eat it – home or out?

Pizza at home after a long week.

2. Friends unexpectedly drop by and you ask them to stay for dinner. What do you cook on unplanned entertaining occasions like this?

Pasta with a bit of salami, basil and fresh sauce…so easy and tasty.

3. What dishes are in your repertoire?

Chicken salads, pastas and I love a fillet of beef wrapped in prosciutto.

4. For a romantic night in or out, what's on the menu?

Definitely French food, escargot and red wine.

5. What's your secret indulgence food?

Mango — it's my favourite food of all-time!

6. What food couldn't you live without?

Well…mango.

7. What's your favourite health food?

Nuts. Any type of nut is fine but macadamia are my favourite.

8. What's your favourite aisle at the supermarket?

The fruit and veg aisle.

9. If you could have five foods on a dessert island, what would they be?

Mango, salad, prawns, chicken and chocolate.

10. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Fresh chicken salad.

11. What's your favourite restaurant?

Sel et Poivre, a French restaurant in Sydney.

12. Have you ever eaten with anyone famous?

I had dinner with David Lee Roth once… now that guy can talk and drink.

13. What's your worst eating habit?

I eat way too fast.

14. Do you think food and wine matching is over-rated?

Not if it's done properly at a good restaurant. I think flavours should complement each other.

15. What's the most memorable meal you've eaten overseas?

Joel de Rubichon at The Four Seasons hotel in New York. He is the most Michelin awarded chef in the world and the food is mind blowing.

16. What food would you quite happily never eat again?

Broad beans. They always make me feel sick.

17. What's one ingredient you always have in your pantry?

Feta cheese. It works with everything.

18. If you could invite three famous people to a dinner party, who would they be?

Jerry Seinfeld, Bette Midler and big Arnie.

19. Who's your favourite celebrity chef?

It's got to be Gordon Ramsey. I love a perfectionist and he is so in your face it is very entertaining.

20. Who, out of your fellow TODAY presenters, would be your preferred dining companion and why?

Karl and I have had a few big nights together and I always find him fun to have a drink with because we have a similar sense of humour and neither of us know when to stop!
